A sad one today.
Exactly eight years ago today, my mother passed away. Not a day has gone by since that I haven’t thought of her. Not. A. Single. Day.
This song came out shortly after she died, so she never got to hear it. I listened to it a lot while dealing with my grief. I know for a fact that my mother would have loved this track had she been around to hear it. She always used to say that metal bands made the most beautiful ballads, and I’m inclined to agree.
This one goes out to you, mum, wherever you are - so far away.
