Music Monday 2nd March 2020

I recently read this book. I didn’t know it was a book until my sister got me a copy for Christmas, but I don’t feel so bad because most people are the same.

I know the movie, and it’s one of my favourites. It’s a family favourite. It’s hard to find these days, being a bit on the older side, so my search continues. There’s a recorded copy on VHS in my dad’s house, but who has a VCR these days? No, I didn’t think so.

The soundtrack is amazing. I still love all the original songs. Listening to this brings me to tears. It’s a beautiful, heartfelt, sad song, but what’s more, it makes me think of my mother and how much she loved this film.

There’s no harm in shedding tears for those we love though. It’s through music, books, TV and movies that we can keep that connection alive.
